RPL - Recognition of prior learning is available to provide credit for existing skills, qualifications and knowledge of students and this process is undertaken on arrival at AGA, following an application by the student. Note that for overseas' students, (i) RPL may impact on the duration of the student's visa. If the RPL is granted before visa grant, AGA will advise on the actual net course duration (as reduced by RPL). If the RPL is granted after visa grant, AGA will report the change in course duration. Note that it is a condition of a student visa that the student must be involved in fulltime study and that if they finish their course early, the student must enroll in another CRICOS-registered course or depart Australia immediately unless they have been given authorization by DIAC to remain in Australia. (ii) An RPL will not be granted where it may result in the student having less than a fulltime study load (minimum 20 hours per week).
Note - For students attending with school aged dependents, these dependents will be required to pay full fees if they are enrolled in either a government or non-government school
Delivery - Delivery is by a combination of in-class tuition, self-paced learning, small group and practical exercises in the classroom and driving range, gymnasium, on-course and driving range supervision, and at a first aid training facility.
Assessment - Competency is assessed through workbook exercises, oral presentations, reports, assignments with research components, skills and rules tests, the student’s handicap record, observation-demonstration checklists, completion of a gym based conditioning program, and self-assessment using a player log
